example designs
Some examples of different web designs that I have done with the Office Live site designer. They all have been done by turning off the OL header, navigation and footer, with tables and text links for the navigation. If you want to use the OL header and navigation, these examples can give you ideas for using tables to layout your page content.
These examples are all web pages. Clicking on the images will open the page in a new window. The first example has step by step directions on how it was done. The others have some description related to them.

This site design and color scheme was inspired by a photo of my dog. There are step by step directions on how to do this one, below the main part of the page. Now that we can change zone widths with CSS, I would probably use more zones and less tables.
new! I got the idea to design a page using only colors available in the Office Live color chart. The browns provided by OL can be a nice color!
A previous version of Office Live Design Tips. I really liked how the design turned out. I should have planned ahead for expanding and adding pages, but didn't think that I would add much at the time. We live and learn. : )
An example of a very simple site for an artist, the artwork takes center stage. The simple design would work well for a photographer or artisan too.
Another design I considered for this site. The color scheme was based on the image of flowers. Included are brief directions on how the header and navigation was done.
This is a complete Office Live website of mine, not just a page. The only code used for the design was to change the link color and site width.
I hope these examples of my designs gives you some ideas for your own Office Live web site and what can be done with tables, images, color and some creativity.
