Hidden Table Borders

Using this site helped me layout the tables in my web site.  Using tables all over my pages I just hated it when I needed to add or change something.

I needed to find the table on the page (changed borders to white), then change the border to grey so I could add/edit the information, then change the border back to white when I was done.  There has to be a better way like in Word or Front Page where the boarders are dashed so you can see then when editing, but hidden when viewed as a web page.

Well there is; just copy that table from Front Page to a Test page on your site.  The table will have "green dashed borders" and the normal table properties in OL page editor (adding, deleting, merging).  You can change the border colors to your choice, they will still be dashed and hidden when viewed as a web page.  This is a great way to see the tables on your pages when in page editor but hidden when users view the page.

I have had this happen when I copied text from some web sites.  The text was copied but it was in a green bordered box.  I was re-coping that text, deleting that green box and re-pasting the text to get rid of that green box, till I found out that it was a dashed table.

Now just start coping that green border table to the pages on your site and change the information from the regular table to the dashed table, you will be glad you did.

Blog to Further Expose your Site

To get more mileage in addition to having a website I created a Blog http://www.cipline-estoreblob.blogspot.com using Google’s free Blogger at www.blogger.com . All the steps and instructions and Help are there too. And it becomes easier to understand the benefits of having a blog together with a website.  Then go to www.pingomatic.com and ping the Blog.  It’s also a way to link and promote your website  products and services to further broaden your website exposure. Thanks and I hope this is helpful …

Remove border from pictures
I've just been taking a course on CSS. I believe the proper code for removing a border is [a img {border: 0px none transparent;}]. What you have on your site would remove borders for all hyperlinks and all images; and technically the "border" property should contain all three border attributes.

Create a logo or make a header

I didn't see this here unless I overlooked it. Use a blank Power Point slide and arrange images and/or text boxes to design logo, header or combine images. Click save as and it can be saved as a jpg, png or other formats. Then simply trimmed in a photo editing program.

Contact Form

I found this site because I wanted to be able to create a form where they could submit a document to me. You can create one free, but not with the "upload document" button. However, after registering you'll receive a $20 offer, and a one-month subscription will then cost only 1 penny. Then you can create up to 10 forms. It worked great!

HTML color codes and names

I was wanting to use other colors than the ones they have. Not being familiar with HTML I did some searching and found this site. I was then able to create a table and fill the color with a different color. The rest of the site has excelent help for those of who are HTML illiterate :)
